Security & Trust
When you trust a product with your family's internet access, you need to know exactly how your data is handled. Here's how we approach security and privacy at Telovra.
Our approach
Intent classification, not surveillance
Telovra filters the web by understanding intent — not by watching everything you do.
No browsing history stored
We classify content in real time. Page-level metadata is processed and discarded — we don't build a record of every site you visit.
No keylogging or screen capture
We never record keystrokes, take screenshots, or monitor what you type in forms, messages, or documents.
Explainable decisions
Every filtering decision comes with a clear explanation: what signals were detected, which rule applied, and why. No black box.
Minimal data collection
We collect only what's needed to classify content against your stated intent. The less data we hold, the less there is to protect.
Technical safeguards
How we protect your data
Encryption everywhere
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Communication between your device and our classification service is always encrypted.
Access controls
Access to any user data requires authentication, authorization, and is logged. Our team accesses production data only when necessary for support or incident response.
Regular security reviews
We conduct regular code reviews and security assessments. Our infrastructure is monitored for anomalies and potential threats.
For families
Extra care for children's data
Telovra Family handles children's data with additional safeguards beyond our standard practices.
COPPA-aligned practices
We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act guidelines. Parental consent is required before collecting any data from children under 13.
Parental consent workflows
Parents maintain full control over their child's account, including the ability to review, modify, and delete all associated data.
No data sold — ever
Children's data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose beyond providing the filtering service.
Isolated data handling
Children's data is treated with additional access restrictions and shorter retention periods than adult account data.
Transparency by default
We believe trust comes from showing our work, not just claiming it.
Decision explanations
Every filtering decision includes the signals that triggered it, so you always know why something was allowed or blocked.
Clear filtering criteria
Your filtering rules and intent descriptions are always visible and editable. Nothing runs in the background without your knowledge.
No hidden data collection
What we tell you we collect is what we collect. Our privacy policy is written in plain language, not legal opacity.
